We recognize that without you, the Woodstock Film Festival (WFF) can not continue presenting its annual fall program and year-round schedule of film, music and art-related activities. Like many other fiscally responsible not-for-profit organizations, we have felt the sizeable impact of government cutbacks, the evaporation of grants and corporate downsizing. As a result we are doubling our fundraising efforts to fill the gaps in our budget.
We work tirelessly all year round on big jobs and the bills are equally big. Our success is linked to your generous support. Here is your chance to help. Thank you for your generosity.
Each year film and music lovers from across the world gather at the Woodstock Film Festival for a diverse showcase of films, first-class concerts and workshops, celebrity-led panels, an awards ceremony, and fantastic parties. Our mission is to present an annual program and year-round schedule of film, music and art-related activities that promotes artists, culture, inspired learning, and diversity.
The Hudson Valley Film Commission (HVFC), working under the auspices of the Woodstock Film Festival, is a conduit for preproduction, production, and postproduction for filmmaking in the Hudson Valley, Catskill region. Commission support is provided free of charge to studio features, independent features, print, new media, short films, student projects, and TV ads.
"I want to tell you how impressed, proud, amazed, inspired and invigorated I am by my experience at the festival this year. Over the last decade you have built this into a truly great festival which I say both by putting in the context of all the festivals out there, but also in terms of how it stands on its own, what it means to and reflects upon the community it serves, what it means to and reflects upon the artists and the art it serves and what it means to and reflects upon the filmmaking community as a whole. It's just a straight up, wonderful event that you should be very proud of." Peter Saraf (Big Beach Films)
"The Woodstock Film Festival stands for what humanity should strive for…Get out there and use your art to express good, human things and denounce and expose all the lies and deceptions that have become a part of our life.” Haskell Wexler, Academy Award® winning cinematographer and director
"I've covered and participated in many festivals, and Woodstock is unique in its combination of cinematic sophistication, user-friendly scale and down-home hospitality.” - Godfrey Chesire, Moving Midway in The New York Times
