Join us in August at Buttermilk Falls & Spa to fete the
Hudson Valley Film Commission

Thank you for supporting the Woodstock Film Festival, a nonprofit organization which presents an annual program and year-round schedule of film, music, and art-related activities that promotes artists, culture, inspired learning, and diversity. The Hudson Valley Film Commission (formerly Woodstock Film Commission) promotes sustainable economic development by attracting and supporting film, video, and media production.

Each year, as government and corporate funding tightens, the success of the Woodstock Film Festival relies more and more on personal and private contributions. We greatly cherish your ongoing generosity. Please consider the many needs of the Festival as it continues to bring the world's best undistributed films and emerging talent to light through screenings, workshops, panels, and concerts at its annual festival showcase, as well as special events presented throughout the year.

We also look forward to the growth of film production through the Hudson Valley Film Commission, which worked with more than 34 production companies in 2005, including the films THE NIGHT LISTENER, starring Robin Williams, and STEPHANIE DALEY, with Tilda Swinton and Melissa Leo. Work opportunities resulted in jobs, training, and economic development.

For six years, the Woodstock Film Festival has created what is considered by many to be one of the best film festivals in the United States. To accomplish this we have relied on sweat equity from staff and more than 350 volunteers, along with begging and borrowing much of the hi-tech equipment we require.

Your financial support NOW will enable us to make important upgrades to equipment and facilities, to develop audiences, and to retain a year-round office for the Woodstock Film Festival and Hudson Valley Film Commission.

We look forward to your continued support and continuing dialogue with you as we continue to grow and provide more and more exciting opportunities.
