The Woodstock Film Festival is pleased to reveal its 12th Annual WFF Poster for 2011, painted by long-time Woodstock resident and artist Kathy Ruttenberg. An esteemed painter and sculptor, Kathy is known for her whimsical watercolor paintings and poetic sculptures. Bountiful in primal symbolism; the 2011 poster creates a language that is full of rich associations with childhood fantasy and wild possibilities.

"I was honored to be approached by the Woodstock film festival to design the 2011 poster," Kathy commented. "Fiercely independent, the theme of the festival, resonates deep for me, as I have needed this type of courage to believe in the visual world evolving in my mind and exuding from my work no matter the medium. I hope to inspire with this poster excitement for a wonderful event which brings creative energy to the local community rich in creative capacities of every type."

WFF is thrilled to have such an imaginative artist represent the 12th Annual Woodstock Film Festival.

I did the time, I may as well have done the crime.” -- Henry

Sleepwalking his way through life, Henry (Keanu Reeves) gets an unexpected wake-up call when he becomes an unwitting participant in a bank heist. Rather than give up the names of the real culprits, he takes the fall and discovers his true calling. Having done the time, Henry reasons he may as well do the crime. Discovering a forgotten tunnel connecting the bank to a nearby theater, he recruits his old cell mate Max (James Caan) to aid in the robbery, all the while playing the lead in the theater’s current production where he finds himself falling for his leading lady, Julie (Vera Farmiga).

In a fierce, alternative vision of America’s bleak future, a young boy is about to learn how cruel the world can be. Martin was a normal teenage boy before the country collapsed in an empty pit of economic and political disaster.

And from the ashes rose a new breed of terror. A vampire epidemic has swept across what is left of the nation’s abandoned towns and cities, and it’s up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin safely north to Canada, the continent’s New Eden.

Welcome to Stake Land, kid…

By then, Jimmy had transformed into glamorous Candy Darling, who worked alongside Sophia Loren, Jane Fonda, Tennessee Williams and became a star on the Off-Off Broadway stage, before succumbing to cancer in NYC in March of 1974.

Meskada, which was shot in the Hudson Valley including Backstage Studio Productions in Kingston, is now available on DVD.

After a botched home robbery in a wealthy community leaves a small child dead, a single clue leads police detective Noah Cordin (Nick Stahl of Terminator 3 and Sin City) and his new partner (Rachel Nichols of Star Trek) to Cordin's nearby working-class hometown. But in a struggling community full of desperate suspects, including a local laborer (Kellan Lutz of The Twilight Saga), the fuse is lit on a conflict that goes far deeper than homicide. Jonathan Tucker (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Ruins), Grace Gummer (Gigantic) and Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints) co-star in this provocative indie drama from writer/director Josh Sternfeld (Winter Solstice) about a shocking crime, an extreme investigation, and the tensions--and passions--that will explode in a county called Meskada.

Micky Ward (Wahlberg) is a struggling boxer long overshadowed by his older brother and trainer, Dicky (Bale), a local legend battling his own demons. Their explosive relationship threatens to take them both down - but the bond of blood may be their only chance for redemption. *Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal
